Machine Structure

• Oversized, precision-ground dual columns support and guide the rugged saw head throughout the entire cutting cycle.
• The back-tilted saw-head design reduces blade twisting between the band wheel and blade guide, minimizing stress and extending blade life.
• Oversized round columns provide hundreds of square inches of continuous surface contact with the saw head during cutting.
• A cross-link at the top connects both columns in an archway design, providing excellent structural strength.

Blade Drive

• Specially designed gearbox withstands high lateral pressure without thermal distortion, ensuring long service life under production conditions.
• Inverter blade-drive system provides infinitely variable blade-speed control.
• Blade speed can be conveniently adjusted from the control panel using a knob.
• LED readout enables convenient and accurate blade-speed settings.

Blade Guidance and Lubrication System

• Carbide guides securely guide the blade throughout the cutting cycle.
• Relieved carbide guides allow coolant to cool and lubricate the blade during cutting.
• Bearing guides pre-align the blade before it enters the carbide guides, reducing blade stress.
• Two additional guides positioned along the central axis support the blade from above, providing greater penetration force and faster cutting.
• Automatic hydraulic blade-tensioning system applies the correct tension when the machine is operating and slightly releases it when the machine stops, extending blade life.
• Hydraulic on/off valve switch makes blade replacement quicker and easier.
• Integral coolant system supplies coolant at four critical points:
  • Blade-guide entry
  • Blade-guide exit
  • Middle of the cut via an adjustable flexible hose
  • Blade-cleaning brush
• Synchronized, power-driven blade brush effectively removes chips from the blade to extend blade life.

Control and Automation

• Ergonomically positioned operator control station on the front of the saw provides convenient and user-friendly operation.
• Controls are clearly labelled and positioned on top of the control box for easy access.
• Electrical components are housed inside the control box.
• Main lockout disconnect is located at the front for improved safety and easier maintenance.
• Precision feed-pressure and feed-rate dual-valve system provides optimal cutting performance for different materials.
• Work-height sensor and air-gap eliminator position the saw frame at a safe clearance above the workpiece, allowing the next piece to be loaded without damaging the blade.

Material Clamping and Feeding

• Special overhead clamping device securely clamps grate materials.
• Discharge table with a built-in coolant-return system adequately supports cut-off stock and helps conserve coolant.
• No vise clamps are required.

Safety Features

• Proximity switches detect blade slippage and blade breakage, automatically stopping the machine when either condition occurs.
• Blade covers and guards are painted Alert Orange to improve safety visibility.
• All exposed electrical wiring and hydraulic circuits are protected by conduits.
• Electrical and hydraulic safety interlocks prevent the saw blade from starting unless the vises are securely clamped.

• Blade “clip” device that holds the blade securely on the band wheel during installation, allowing one person to change the blade easily
